About Corkscrew Cake in B&W.
Tiny stars and ladder rungs run on the diagonal across the bottom tier, under a rim of small scallops. The middle tier is all circles, the top one striped and dripping, with seven tall candles. The plate is ruled into wedges like a wheel, some of them dotted.
A birthday card for someone who takes things apart to see how they work, and mostly gets them back together.
